My name is Yasemin Alptekin, PhD

is a Turkish-American writer, translator, educator. She was born in Istanbul, Turkey. She taught at universities both in Turkey and in the US. She translated African Stories by Doris Lessing and Boom by Mark Haddon into Turkish. She also translated “Reviving Palmira in Multiple Dimension” with a Turkish title Çölün Gelini Palmira (The Bride of the Desert Palmyra).
